IN or OUT

Heres my IN or OUT, I invite comments on teams I should have included or arguments for teams I didn’t put in the field. My IN’s or OUT are based on their current resume, not what they might do in their final games/conference tournament.
Atlantic-10
Locks: Xavier

Saint Joseph’s Hawks: 17-9 (8-5)
SOS (85), RPI (55), vs. RPI 100 [...]

Bubble Watch

North Carolina-Wilmington (18-11, 11-5 CAA)        64
Virginia Commonwealth (21-6, 13-3 CAA)               72
UNC-Wilmington attempts to knock off its second league favorite in as many weeks after they stunned George Mason. Wilmington’s (SOS: 221) only hope for an NCAA bid is to win the CAA tournament, while VCU (SOS: 149) has a shot at an at-large bid. [...]

Super Tuesday Preview

 (1)Tennessee (25-2, 11-1 SEC)       83

 (14)Vanderbilt (23-4, 8-4 SEC)       77

Many people have mentioned that this could be a huge letdown game for Tennessee. I couldn’t agree more because I don’t believe that Bruce Pearl will let that happen. Tennessee has their first ever #1 ranking and I don’t expect them to come out flat. Volunteers smashed the Commodores [...]

Big Monday Preview

Big Monday is very sparse with only three games having real bubble parameters.
(5)Texas (23-4, 10-2 Big 12)              64
Kansas State (18-8, 8-4 Big 12)        77
Texas doesn’t play real well away from Austin, while Kansas State has been 13-1 in Manhattan. I expect a big game from the Wildcats as they position themselves for a nice [...]

Weekend Preview

(2)Tennessee (24-2, 11-1 SEC)
 (1)Memphis (26-0, 12-0 C-USA)
The game of the year will play out tonight in Memphis between the two titans of the Volunteer state. Tennessee comes in winners of eight straight and holds a commanding lead in the SEC. Memphis enters undefeated and in complete cruise control in C-USA.  The Volunteers avaerage 83.9 ppg and [...]

Bubble Watch

South Alabama (21-5, 13-2 S. Belt)
Western Kentucky (21-5, 13-1 S. Belt)
The South Alabama Jaguars come into tonight’s game at Western Kentucky as a solid NCAA team in MY eyes. However, in the eyes of the committee I think they would be a bubble team because of the treatment of smaller conferences in years past. [...]

C-USA Spotlight

Houston (19-5, 8-2 C-USA)
 UAB (17-8, 7-3 C-USA)
How will the UAB Blazers respond after their stunning loss to Memphis. UAB had the game won until they suffered a huge collaspe in the closing minutes. In comes Houston who is undefeated against their C-USA schedule except Memphis(2 L’s). Houston is an impressive club, yet lacks any marquee [...]

Baylor Stunned

Just finished watching a great game between Baylor and Oklahoma in Norman. My heart goes out to Baylor who absolutely gave the game away to the Sooners! Tony Crocker(17 pts) hit a 3 while being fouled and converted the free throw to give OU a 92-91 lead. with 10 seconds left in overtime Curtis Jerrils(29 pts) then went the length of the floor [...]

Super Tuesday Preview

(15)Purdue (21-5, 12-1 Big Ten)
 (14)Indiana (21-4, 10-2 Big Ten)
The baby Boilermakers travel to Bloomington with visions of a Big 10 title dancing in their heads. A win tonight by Purdue gives them a comfortable lead in the conference with a very easy schedule to close out their last five games. Purdue has now won 11 [...]
